New build family garden, Wiltshire

This house was a new build laid with just a turf lawn and the clients wanted to create borders, a water feature and some bespoke garden features.

Ed added a large swath of flower beds that covered all aspects of the garden. He planted up the beds with plants that were suited to the areas as some were full sun and some were full shade so required a wide variety of plants. The clients also wanted a number of climbers so Ed add has been training the climbers to trail along bespoke wire patterns.

As well as new borders, Ed added a pergola arch and a water feature to add some height and a new dynamic to the garden.

The clients also wanted to adapt a shed to be a purpose built cattery for their own cats when they went on holiday. Ed designed and made a bespoke cattery that met all the required safety standards to keep their cats safe and warm at any time of the year.

Having lived in houses with mature and established gardens, it was difficult moving to a new build with only lawn. We absolutely love gardens and gardening however we just did not have the time to transfer the garden as we have a toddler and it was a large project. I knew we wanted to add a variety of borders and Pickle Pea helped bring my vision to life. Pickle Pea sourced very unique trees that we had in our previous garden and they are stunning specimens. Ed was very hard working and worked quickly while still maintaining very high standards. I was pleasantly surprised by the level of knowledge the whole team had in relation to plants, trees and lawns. We had some very shady areas of the garden and they suggested specific plants that have been very successful.
